We promote community-owned green investments that benefit Black and Brown communities. Community-led energy production can create co-benefits that will increase the well-being of disadvantaged communities.
We invite community partners, businesses, financial institutions and government to join forces with us and other partners for the success of a people-led renewable energy movement in Canada driven by environmental justice priorities.
If governments cannot push industry to divest from polluting energy, civil society has to invest our energy into creating solutions and we have to do it in partnership with social enterprises already in the renewable energy sector.
Our people-led renewable energy program is designed to build interest in such projects and equip interested BIPOC communities with the knowledge and the tools to launch a successful renewable energy initiative that will bring power, jobs and benefits in their communities.
